Dear Club Members,
As of the November Annual General Meeting, the member-elected Board Directors for 2024 are:
Joyce Bish (President); Dario Zini (Vice President / IT); Cory Taylor (Treasurer); Larry Becke (Secretary / Program Director); and Stephen Rawlin (Membership Director).
On behalf of all members, the incoming board would like to express our sincere thanks to the outgoing directors for their hard work and all that they have accomplished for the Club during their tenure. Membership has grown steadily over several years and the Club is financially healthy, allowing MTC to fund the court resurfacing project completed in late 2022. In 2023, members participated in weekly tennis and pickleball sessions culminating in tournaments and the MTC social barbeque in September.
With the guidance of the outgoing Board Directors, the Club has grown into a community space that values inclusivity and member engagement. The new Board will continue to promote and uphold these values ensuring that MTC members enjoy a positive play experience.
Looking ahead, members will receive a Club Survey intended to help us plan for the 2024 season. Your input is very valuable and this is your opportunity to help shape events at MTC. We encourage each adult MTC member in your household to complete the survey so that every voice is heard.
The Club continues to grow, and we are actively seeking volunteers for a variety of activities, including event coordination, session facilitation, program planning, club maintenance and more. Engaged members at all levels will keep MTC a wonderful Club for everyone.
As we reflect on the achievements and challenges of the past years, it is evident that our shared commitment to the Club’s vision has propelled us forward. Your active participation and invaluable contributions are the driving force behind the success of MTC. With renewed energy and fresh perspectives, we stand on the threshold of the next exciting chapter in our journey together. Board directors past and present would like to thank all our members for their continuing support of the Meadowwood Tennis Club. We look forward to 2024, a year filled with collaboration, growth and memorable experiences.
